Two is better than one
Boudoir can be nerve-racking to be that vulnerable in front of someone you don’t really know. What if you could bring a friend to calm those nerves a little? Split a session with your bestie! Pose together or separate and have one big hyping party!
Setting up promotional shoots is becoming one of my favorites. If you have been to my house for a session or to hang out, you know that I have an eye for decorating with thrifted items and epic paint colors. I love setting up the set I see in my head, or what my client sees in theirs. I reached out to two women who have become huge supporters of my photography in the past year and asked if they would be up for a styled bestie session. Of course, they said yes. They had some fun ideas, and so did I, so we split the afternoon up and created some amazing art for them to have and admire, as well as some promotional pictures for me to use.
There’s something really special about photographing best friends—the kind of connection that doesn’t need posing or prompting, it just is. This session was exactly that.
These two showed up not just looking amazing, but fully there for each other. The kind of supportive, hype-you-up-without-hesitation energy that you can’t fake. From the second we started, it didn’t feel like a photoshoot—it felt like hanging out, laughing until your stomach hurts, fixing each other’s hair, and reminding each other just how good you look. And that’s what I want for you.
Not stiff poses. Not wondering what to do with your hands. Not worrying if you look “perfect.” Just you and your person, showing up exactly as you are.
The laughter? It came easy. The confidence? It built naturally. And somewhere in between all of that, there were these quiet little moments—glances, inside jokes, the way they hyped each other up without even thinking—that made everything feel real. That’s the magic of a best friend session.
It’s not just about photos. It’s about capturing the way you feel when you’re with someone who truly sees you. Someone who reminds you who you are on the days you forget. Someone who makes you feel confident without even trying.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book something like this, this is it.
Bring your best friend. Your sister. Your ride-or-die. Wear something that makes you feel good. Show up as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.
And if you are lucky, the sweetest man will make an appearance and show you his belly!
